Laurie Rockman Artist/Illustrator 

Laurie was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. She has always been expressive with dance and art and has studied both throughout her life. This led her to attend the Fine Arts Program at York University . After graduating  she continued her work and studies for five years in New York City.

While diligently attempting to master the art of single motherhood, she had what she likes to refer to as her “Cartoon Epiphany”!.She realized that through this art form she had the freedom to express her “sense” of humour and observation AND create income.

Laurie started her own company called “Mug Shots” Greeting Cards in 1995 which is sold in many eclectic gift stores acrss Canada and now the U.S.. Interest in her work had led to many commissions from corporate cards to ads, logos, and promotional items.

She participates in many art shows and sales including The One of a Kind Show in Toronto and The National Stationery Show in New York City. She teaches at the Haliburton School of the Arts.
